On your first day, you’ll join Matt live as he broadcasts his award-winning show on PGA Tour Radio to his global audience, giving you a unique opportunity to witness one of the largest golf show’s in the world as it comes together live, right before your eyes!  Then, enjoy an extraordinary round of golf at Cabot Links. Exquisitely carved out of the breathtaking Cape Breton landscape by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and located on over a mile of sandy beach along the coast of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the picturesque town of Inverness, the Cabot Links course represents a dramatic departure from the typical golf excursion.  With six holes playing directly alongside the water and every hole offering an ocean view, Cabot Links is where traditional links land golf comes to life against the spectacular Nova Scotia landscape.

After your round, join us for a VIP Single Malt Tasting Experience and Tour at The Glenora Distillery.

“Join us for an enhanced tour of the Glenora Distillery. You will be given a private, appointment-only tour that details our history, the reason we are where we are, the production, and a backstage pass to the Whisky Warehouse where you'll draw a barrel sample direct from the barrel. After experiencing the magic that the warehouse offers, your host will bring you to the pub for a private tutored whisky tasting of various Glenora expressions. Don't forget to bring your camera."

Dinner tonight is at the Panorama Restaurant located on the Cabot Links property.

The definition of Panorama is an unbroken view of an entire surrounding area, and Cabot Links’ premier restaurant lives up to its name with some of the most picturesque dining in all of Cape Breton.  Dinner features the best ingredients Nova Scotia has on offer, prepared with care and paired beautifully with local and international wines of character and distinction.

Stay tonight at the beautiful Cabot Links Lodge. A getaway like no other, this is where sleek, stylish accommodations offer a bold and compelling contrast to the rugged, sweeping vistas.  Fanning out along the course, each of the resort’s guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling ocean views.  Taking in the dramatic colours of a Cape Breton sunset from the balcony of your room is the perfect way to cap off a memorable round of golf or afternoon hiking excursion.

Designed by award-winning Nova Scotia architect, Susan Fitzgerald and celebrated interior designer, Alexandra Angle, the 72-room Cabot Links Lodge is inspired by its surroundings. The building incorporates local materials, such as cedar and heavy timber, which combined with a timeless and modern aesthetic are the epitome of low key luxury. The Lodge is near the Pro Shop, the Cabot Bar and Panorama Restaurant, fanning south to border the Cabot Links putting green.

But, it’s only DAY ONE!!  There’s a reason Matt’s events sell out so quickly!

September 21, 2018

After day one, can things get better? Yes, they can. Today’s round will be played at a top 10 course but not just any top ten list. Cabot Cliffs is currently ranked #9 on this year’s Golf Digest world golf course rankings. The 16th hole is already one of golf’s most photographed holes so be sure to post and tweet all day long, so all friends back home will be green with envy!

Upon the first tee, your group will be photographed with your host and Matt might just do some play-by-play of your opening tee shot as he has done in countless major championships! Take your time, breath in how special this experience is, but know that when you are done playing golf, your day is still in its infancy.

After your round and a fantastic lunch, you will jump aboard a private 50-seat motor coach and begin your journey to Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province.

After a 2 ½ hour drive that will have your staring out the window at the beautiful landscapes, you will arrive in Caribou, Nova Scotia and board a ferry to take you across the Northumberland Strait. This 75-minute route runs between Caribou and Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island. An outdoor seating area allows you to enjoy the fresh sea air during the crossing.

After your sailing, you have arrived in Prince Edward Island. “PEI” is often referred to as Canada’s # 1 Golf Destination with its more than 400 fairways closer than you can imagine. It is also often called “Canada’s Food Island” with a land that is rich, producing a bounty of fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products. PEI’s waters teem with fish, as well as lobster, oysters, and other shellfish. Ask almost anyone in the world where the best mussels come from, and they'll tell you: Prince Edward Island. PEI’s farmers and fishermen provide the ingredients and PEI’s award-winning chefs turn those fresh ingredients into culinary masterpieces.

You will travel less than an hour and arrive at The Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort. With its tranquil setting overlooking Prince Edward Island’s panoramic North Shore and wide variety of activities offered on-site, the 5 Star Rodd Crowbush Golf & Beach Resort is one of Atlantic Canada’s most luxurious resorts. Located on-site at the famous Links at Crowbush Cove, Rodd Crowbush offers superior accommodations and first-class service. This will be home for the remainder of the trip so unpack and relax and enjoy the sea salt air.

Settle in for dinner at David’s Restaurant at the Resort and be sure to look out the windows to see your next golf game that awaits you the next morning at The Links at Crowbush Cove. Walk the same fairways as Fred Couples, Mark O’Meara, John Daly, Vijay Singh and of course Canada’s own and 2003 Masters Champion, Mike Weir who have played at “Crowbush” in the past.

September 22, 2018

Today’s round takes place at a course recognized by Golf Digest as Canada’s Best New Course in 1994 and #15 in Score’s Rankings of the top public courses in Canada in 2017. The Links at Crowbush Cove overlooks the north shore dunes of PEI, and Crowbush continues to enthrall all those that take the challenge to conquer one of North America’s very best. How can it get better than a Golf Digest five-star rating? Undulating fairways, water holes with a wisp of wind, pot bunkers and challenging greens all come together to provide you with an experience not to be forgotten. Truly an unbelievable combination of nature and imagination by Canadian architect, Tom McBroom. Of all the courses that are considered a “must play” in Canada, Crowbush is certainly one of them. If you can tame the 6,903 yards in the north shore wind, you should be able to play well anywhere.

After your round, you’ll gather back at the resort and tonight’s culinary experience will be one that you won’t soon forget. Tonight’s experience takes place at The Inn at Bay Fortune. This legendary country inn is home to 17 stylish guest rooms and Chef Michael Smith’s unique FireWorks Feast. FireWorks is named after the 25-foot brick-lined, wood-burning, fire-breathing beast that anchors the Fire Kitchen. It includes every form of live-fire cooking known to man, a smokehouse, open hearth, grill, rotisserie, plancha and wood oven. No dials, no switches, no gas, no power, just old-school fire cooking. Named as one of Air Canada’s En Route Magazine Best new restaurants of 2016!

You will enjoy the day’s harvest from the Inn’s organic farm, herb gardens and the best of Prince Edward Island’s culinary artisans. Prepared over live fires, the meal is shared family-style at long feast tables overlooking breathtaking Bay Fortune. Make friends, make memories.

No doubt you will sleep well tonight as your final round awaits you tomorrow.

Expansive fairways lined with luscious pines and the tranquil Brudenell River meander through some of the most stunning beauty that PEI has to offer. Dundarave played host to the 2006 Legends of Golf featuring Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson. During the pro-am dinner, David Feherty peered out at the crowd who were as red as the main course lobsters and cried, "Have you people never heard of sunscreen?”

The 356 yard, Par 4 #8 “Emerald Altar” has to be one of the best looking golf holes in all of Canada. It may be time to post some more great photos for all your friends who didn’t join you on this trip!
